City of Geneva Police have issued a public safety alert about an increase in vehicle thefts in the Slosson Lane area and its surroundings. Officers are advising residents to take extra precautions to protect their property.

The alert recommends that residents follow a "9PM Routine" each night by locking their vehicle doors, removing any valuables from inside their cars, securing their homes and garages, and turning on exterior lights or motion sensors. Additional tips include parking in well‑lit areas and not leaving keys or key fobs in vehicles.

Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity immediately by calling the Geneva Police Department’s non-emergency number at 585-394-4560. In emergencies, individuals should call 911.
